Individual performers and groups enliven the main street with music and dancing. Amidst the Gothic houses of the town’s burghers gay merry-making takes place, as in former days. Here and there comedians perform slap-stick shows. They befriend visitors, give a foretaste of forthcoming events and make the tourist feel at home.
